More Harry Potter owl tattoo designs for my friend Katie’s HP owl sleeve. Huge props to Alice Kendall of Infinity Tattoo for making these drawings come to life on skin!
A few of my favorite title cards from Batman: The Animated Series.
I don’t normally repost things on my art blog that aren’t my own, but this is just incredible. Bless that show forever.
“Amazing Friendship” parody illustration I created based off of the legendary Jack Kirby Spider-Man cover. Miles and Ganke from Ultimate Spider-Man are the best!
A while back I premiered my first of several pieces commemorating old school Nickelodeon game shows of the early 90’s with Legends of the Hidden Temple. “Knowledge” showcased the complexity of putting a silver monkey together with just three pieces. In the newest addition to this collection, “Strength” from the show “Global Guts” portrayed the skill and grit you had to have to climb the SUPER AGGRO CRAG. Foam rocks and glitter rained down upon each child as they fought their way to the top to become reigning champ of that episode and take home a piece of glorious mountain.
This print premiered just last weekend at Emerald City Comic Con to overwhelming success. If you happened to stop by my table and picked one up, THANK YOU!
Look out for the final addition to the collection in the Fall of this year! :D
Just finished this Mass Effect tongue and cheek illustration in celebration of the new DLC! Grunt and Wrex are bros… dare I say even Brogans? Haha
I am completely stoked that fellow illustrator, close friend and fellow Mass Effect junkie Conley Smith helped me with the colors on this piece. I think she did a fantastic job capturing the textures and colors of the Krogan race. She’s pretty darn wonderful.
Yay Mass Effect!
Decide in your heart of hearts what really excites and challenges you, and start moving your life in that direction. Every decision you make, from what you eat to what you do with your time tonight, turns you into who you are tomorrow, and the day after that. Look at who you want to be, and start sculpting yourself into that person. You may not get exactly where you thought you’d be, but you will be doing things that suit you in a profession you believe in. Don’t let life randomly kick you into the adult you don’t want to become.
Astronaut Chris Hadfield’s answer to the question “Any advice to a young person who wants to get into this field?”, from his spectacular reddit IAmA
This is about as good as advice can get. Really inspiring.

As someone who is going through a seriously rough patch in my life in terms of career paths, serious depression and difficult personal feelings, this is really comforting to hear.

I decided to embrace the freezing cold weather last week to sneak up to the Oregon Zoo for an afternoon of animal sketching. I like going this time of year because kids are in school and the temperatures keep most people away. I felt like I had the whole Zoo to myself! It was really wonderful getting to interact with each creature in privacy while I sketched them. They all seemed very happy to help me out. I learned so much from my short visit, and more than that, I had a really nice time by myself just relaxing and observing the beauty of Nature around us. The only place that was really busy was the Elephant room. Lily, the baby elephant that was just born was on display for everyone to fawn over. She was pretty damn adorable.
All-in-all, it was a fantastic day and I look forward to my next visit when it isn’t so cold! (I had to hide out in the African Rainforest room from the lack of heat and humidity outside. Haha!) I encourage everyone to get out there and observe life and nature. You learn so much from observation. :)
